May 2022, Stephen Thompson initiated and solely coordinated to earn "Purple Heart City" proclamation for Cottleville. Back Story: SFC John McDaris, long time Cottleville resident, was awarded Purple Heart October 16th 2021 (22 June 2006 WIA) and subsequently inspired, lead Stephen's application for Purple Heart City status via Missouri Purple Heart Chapter 125 out of Fenton.
